Meetings

Group 48 meets on the second Friday of every month on the 2nd floor of the Buchan Building at the First Unitarian Church, 1011 SW 12th Ave, Portland, OR. There is a meet and greet at 7:00 PM and the proper meeting begins at 7:30 PM. The evening access entrance of the church is through the black iron gate located in the middle of the block on SW 12th Avenue between Main and Salmon Streets. It is marked as the “Event & Evening Entrance” on the church buildings’ map.

At each meeting, campaign coordinators present actions and updates on certain human rights issues. Petitions, letters, and postcards are circulated for attendees to sign. Greeting cards are sometimes circulated to send messages of hope to prisoners of conscience. The meeting agenda is generally similar to the sample as shown below.

For more information about the monthly meetings, submit your questions through the Contact page or leave a voicemail message at 503-227-1878 and a member of Group 48 will return the calls.
